Natural disaster?

Shame on us, human beings for not taking care of our planet. The planet will survive without us, we won’t without Mother Earth…

The Amazon Rainforest is not only the largest forest in the world but it is also called the "Lungs of the World". More than 20 percent of the world oxygen is produced here. It is home to about three million species of plants and animals as well. The biggest lung of the planet has been burning for sixteen days … 500 000 hectares are in the fire only in Bolivia… And the government doesn’t want to ask for the international help, declaring that everything is under control, while the fire is still going on and endangering more than 500 species of animals, diversity of birds and insects.

Now, people on the streets are asking for international help mourning for the animals that have died during the fire. Mourning because we are giving another stab to the biggest lung on the planet.

The most beautiful Planet of the Universe….forgive us for existing.

  • Thank you for sharing this topic. The president of Brazil said that they have a right to cultivate the Amazon jungle for the Brazilian economy, and eased a regulation of cultivating there. It seemes to be one of some reasons of this disaster. As you said, the Amazon jungle is a precious area not only for Brazil but also for the world. We need to protect the area.

    • Hi, Tam, thank you for visiting the topic and taking part in the discussion. Yeah, sure, governors speak like that, though, we all know it might be true about their own cultivations (in their own gardens)…but… The Amazon rainforest (as any other forest) likely formed about 56 million years ago ... Nothing to compare with. Humanity is the worst punishment for nature. It didn’t deserve it.

Even if we plant as many plants as we need to cut/burn/use them for our needs….nothing will excuse us for murdering thousands of species of living things…

How is it possible to see such images without bitter pain in heart?? Sorrow and pain…Shame on us.

Please, forgive me, Tam for posting such pictures. But people must know what they do...

  • Shame on us. No words.

    • Hi Estanis, Thank you for stopping by. As Mary has said…we deserve all the impossible diseases for being who we are and doing what we do…((

  • I'm so sad to hear this news.  It's a real disaster for native tribes, animals, ecosystem. What can we do... ? Always policy and money back. I'm furious, frustrated without knowing what to do and being a simple spectator !

    • Bertrand, thank you for speaking here out. This is our miserable…but strong protest against human’s ignorance. You are not a simple spectator...you are caring and concerned one. Thank you for commenting on the topic. Stay blessed.

  • I am so sad when heard it on the news... poor all the anime .. the trees...  T_T

    • So do I, FIZZY. With broken heart when hear and see the news...and with tears in eyes any time when the images of wounded animals appear in my sight... God protect the innocent creatures that even do not understand what happens...

  • I can't even see the images.... F*ck humanity. We deserve all the diseases and famine this will bring.

    • MARY…STRONG AND VERY MEANINGFUL WORDS. I just didn't dare to express myself like that. Thank you for your words. Humanity deserves them.
