My dear friends and students, dear Sir Josef, our dear admins! Although I have been EC member for not that long, I can't help expressing my admiration as I always do on the occation. I had never joined any social networks before my wife told me about EC. I had always thought it is just waste of time. But now I realize my delusion. Sir Josef created such a great site, such a great community of people holding the same views or, at least having the same purposes. It is the free space for learning, teaching, having fun, sharing our ideas. Unfortunately, we are not all like one and I am really sorry for those who don't realize all advantages of being a part of this great community. You all know what I mean and I am not going to retell my sad experience again. However, there is something new you may not know about. Here is one recent comment on my wall:

"At 17:18 on March 20, 2017, hassankhan said…

"We exist to make this world a better place" (laughing)well well well its good to see an American saying this after committing genocide (heinous crimes)and plundered other nations for their petty interests"

I'd like to ask this guy if he really thinks I am responsible for my government.  Is there still so much acrimony? I thought we are trying to make our world better!

That's it! I wanted to say something different. This month there have been a few blogs on EC matters that caused my attention. I can't help expressing my opinon!

First, it is Dara's blog "A Member of the year". I  am so happy most of us agree: his idea is unacceptable. Wherever money is on the subject (even a penny), the community becomes corrupted. I think we should, have to award the best members, but money must be out of the question.

There has been one more blog I'd like to comment. Should we choose star members? Honestly, I don't know. When I just joined EC and posted  a few blogs about my land, I was immediatelly chosen a star member although my wife had been trying her best teaching EC learners for about 10 years. It was unfair. On the other hand, our newbies have to get some information about the most active members when they join EC. Well, i think if we want to be a peaceful community, we should not choose any leaders. We already have one, it is Josef and I will always agree if he reprimands me as I am one of you!

Thank you, EC, for making me master one more skill. If I am ever kicked off my uniiversity for being so frank and unihibited, I will start teaching English as now I know where to start from.

  • Dear Rysperski, thank you! I don't know you well enough, but Tanya told me about you and your being one of the most fluentEnglish speakers here. Well, I do share your ideas and don't react as I know what I do is useful for learners.

  • Thanks, Mishaikh, I don't pay any attention to those who fume about everything and everybody. I just leave them alone to suffer from their own rage

  • Oi there,

Well, amigo Danny, most of us come to the EC to meet other people, get to know different customs and traditions but mostly we come here to enhence our English.

Nevertheless, EC is often invaded by trolls and spammers whose main object is to defecate their miasmatic minds....c'est la vie, as the inuits used to say. I, in turn, maintain that if we are having a fine chat with friends, we should not be surprised when we get victimised by such creatures. We should ignore them and continue with our own affairs, for the benefit of benevolent chatters.

Taking the advantage of the occasion, I would like to thank you, Danny for your significant and friendly contribution to the EC community....great job, Danny.

  • Danny congratulations on your "century'.

Don't pay attention to 'absurdity' of unripe minds.  Nobody is responsible the acts of their governments.  Political leaders create hatred amongst their people just to get their political benefits. I have seen back there in my country a lot.

Like luci said .................'let's be here happy......"

    Congratulations once again.

  • Dear Luci, I surely remember those times when I asked Tanya to correct my articles. When she got full up with it she made me revise grammar for me not to bother her with my illiterate writing. But when I joined EC and started communicating I immediately felt an overwhelming desire to correct everything I read here. As I don't like correcting, I decided to teach you a little and asked my wife to give some explanations. She kindly explained me her point of view on teaching English grammar and even gave me her great grammar book I can always consult. So, now everybody is happy. Tanya is happy as I don't bother her with my silly questions, EC members are happy as they can participate in my tests and ask me their questions, I am happy as I have made so many people feel happy and have learned my native grammar at last. What else to desire?!

  • Thank you, my friends. Honestly, I thought you would reply to my views on EC matters here like dear Rose.

Thank you, Rose, you are right, it is better to ignore such people and I didn't reply although I wanted to tell that guy everything I think about him. But, of course, we shouldn't offer them a stage as they provoke us on purpose waiting for the opportunity to pour out their bile to others.

  • It's not that situation to tell jokes about such comments as those what hasankhan said in his comment. Unfortunately is he not the only one who hides his hate behind the anonymity here on this site. It became as a  kind of sports to insult people and to spread hate. Not only on political way. They spread hate and insults but they are too cowardly to show their face. I beleive the best way to deal with this kind of people is to ignore them because attention will be food for persons like them. We shouldn't offer them a stage.

  • Congrats, Dear Teacher!! MYEc needs your continuous presence..you make the platform alive, it is so nice to have you around.  wish to see your 1000 blogs here.

  • My congratulations, teacher!!!
And thanks for the lessons you have taught us. May we get more and more :D
  • Danny,

Congratulation!!! Your blog number 100 saw the light! Looking forward to see 200 :D Anyway, I saw this post on your wall and it made me feel sad that some people can think in such idiotic way... however, let's be here happyyyy and you know what is funny? Check your wall and there is line like...I am native speaker BUT don't ask me about grammar :D Cool change, right?
