How will you keep motivated nowadays?

Two simple definitions for motivation are that it is a description of a person’s motive to action and it is a reason(s) for acting or behaving in a particular way. But why it’s so difficult to keep the fire burning? I came here in EC carrying the thoughts that I will enhance my communication skills and for sure I will accomplish what I’m up to. For a newbie here, I’m still on my adjustment period, dealing with members who use English in their daily lives, who are native speakers or non-native but exceptionally well versed.

Talking to these classes of people leads to two things; motivating and discouraging reactions, the former, I am motivated to search new words they had used and topics they had tackled that I’m not familiar and have nothing in mind to impart. The latter, equal opposite reaction was sometimes I shunned away sharing my views if I felt active chatters are intimidating and felt that my opinion doesn’t count anyway. Nevertheless, I chose to speak out my mind, regardless of how senseless my opinions are. I’m forcing myself to obtain self-motivation, well I can say it is usually generated by thought, I used to forethought as a way to regulate my motivation by imagining what I believe I can achieve and disseminate. I ended up questioning myself, how can I get better with this language if I will let this inferiority complex haunting me and stays as my shadow? All the time... L

There are times l don’t feel like doing what I know I need to do, I have a very low level of motivation to perform an action. I always lose appetite on so many things and forgot my real purpose of being here and there.

So guys, can you help me with my dilemma, any tips on how to be consistently motivated? And what are you guys doing when the same scenario hits your way?

Thanks in advance and God bless all!

, and real friends keep motivating us to achieve our aims .

my best regards for you , RISTY

  • Ms Risty After Read all this What I concluded was u mentioned here a part of your feelings to motivate your self and others also. by your blog not only you, many are being motivated because your self confident and way to communicate globally by learning English is admirable but, language is not a barrier to express feelings and convey your opinion. Honestly what I want to say that what ever you mentioned here is all like our group (non native english speaker) feelings. you are the first representative to convey massage from our group. All the best!!

  • Lubhan mabuti! Maraming salamat kaibigan ko. Gusto ko pagganyak mo merron. I like your motivation and the excitement you carry inside your ideas. You have shown it from the very beginning Risty. Keep that motivation on, will you?
