Mayumee's top favourite Practice List in 2011

"This morning of the last day of the year, I suddenly feel like writing a blog. But actually, I thought writing days before today, I just couldn't know what to write about. It keeps nagging in my head that I have already forgotten my first love in EC - writing a blog. Then, suddenly after reading Robbie's blog (thanks to you,Rob!), it inspires me to jot down a list of my most favorite practices in 2011."

1.) EC's story: Inky Pinky Pooh

  • Nice and lovely poem. :)

  • Dear Mayumee

Those nice words are very kind of you.

    Falling…

My dear, that falling isn't for anyone, but it is a deep feature in your pure soul.

And you are in the correct way, because as soon as a potential seed touch the soil it germinates and we will see its blossoms one by one rapidly.

  • fantastic work mayumi.. your efficient enthusiasm is an inspiration for all of us.

  • Oh my Sahar, dear..

How can I thank you for all your encouragements and kind words...You've been following the Little Prince one after another. Commenting on it every time. You give so much energy to me. That's why friend, I think I'm falling for you. I am fallin' for our friendship. :) But it's a falling that is inverted..meaning upwards 'cos your friendship lift me up.

  • Now it's fully organized :) :)

  • Hello lidya! Nice meeting you...

Thank you for listening to it. And saying I have talent? Ahh you made my day.(errr, it's already night). You made my night! :) Hope to hear your voice, too in the future.

  • :) Oh my! Anele, Thanks..hehhe don't know what to say...charming and sweet voice! I love to hear it..yeah what is it again? LOL!

Yes, I agree to you. I found it very useful for me and it suits me very well. It's making me prepared little by little for more speaking. I must say, speaking is the most difficult for me, so I'm taking these practices as my ladder for a more challenging activities which is the speaking..

Thank you my dear Anele, you always have been very supportive to us! :)

  • Hi Expector! Thanks for your encouragement. I wish to do more and more practice like this in 2012 and then eventually speaking. I had focused my attention to practicing my pronunciation and listening comprehension in 2011. Well, I still consider my pronunciation far from perfect but I'm happy I had got considerable improvement  (just my point of view) :)

I always think of what you said to me before Doc..just like a patient who needs help from a doctor. I commented in your blog that I'm feeling so down with my English learning. I was frustrated that I didn't get the goal I had set for year 2010. You remember it, doc? And just like a great doctor, you just prescribed the right medications for me. You said learning should be taken slowly, bit by bit...I don't really remember the exact words. But you gave me the insights on what I should be doing in my English journey.

I start to change the way I learn it. My goal is to be fluent. But that is not gonna happen in one day, one setting of goal or even one year. I accepted it and prepared myself that it is a journey. Efforts, determination and persistence for it are needed in order to achieve. To be fluent,...I have to take the baby steps first. This is for me the listening and imitating of what I listen. I incorporated to activities I love doing like narrating stories, reciting poems and reading news.

But switching method of learning requires some changes and little sacrifices like I had to write lesser and read lesser because of time as well as not to overwhelm myself. Again I thought to myself it's a matter of snail learning but sure learning and improvement. This is what I thought my incentives for doing it. Even sometime I felt bored and lonesome doing it. :) but only sometimes..

Then......now, I would like to widened up my horizon, just a little more. Setting more baby steps. :)

    Thanks, Expector!

  • Great blog dear Mayu!

I enjopyed following it until the end!

And 6 & 7 are so familiar for me :)

You have a real goal here, and some of them are achieved.

Hope that you will achieve all of rest one by one.

  • Great job! Keep it up in 2012!
