My book's Cover. I need your help!

My friends! I am going to have my grammar book published very soon. However, I have problems with design of the cover page. I have a few ideas and I've made a few drafts. I'd like you all to tell me which one is better and how to change the design. Please, don't pay attention to the text. It is in Russian (my name, name of the book "English Grammar in Use", place and time of publication). I mean design only. I have found a few nice pictures but I don't know what else I can do. Here are my drafts

community

I received a great question today from a new MyEC member:
"How can I join this community?"

Community is so important in life. When you feel like you are part of something, you thrive. To thrive means to live well and grow. It is not enough to join a club such as MyEC. To become part of the community you must greet, meet, participate, and support one another. This is true for learners and teachers.

Here are 25 ways to become part of EnglishClub.com's growing community:

1. Welcome at least one new

I know most of the members here are English learners. Some of them may come here from all over the world just for improving their English skills. So, here come my questions:
1. Learners should only read the blogs by native English speakers? Learners want to learn standard English (AmE or BrE). They read and learn, but, if what they read is full of grammar, spelling or expression mistakes, what's the point of reading such blogs? Maybe you don't care who the blogs are by. Maybe you just want to com

I would like to tell you about my experiences while living abroad. First of all, it is really amusing to read and laugh at funny moments. Second, my friends can know what kind of life they will have while living overseas. Here is one of my stories. One sunny morning in Vancouver, Canada, I decided to dye my hair. In fact, the weather made me do so. A sunny day in Vancouver is so nice because all the streets are decorated with various colorful flowers. The sunlight reflects in shiny store windows

Game 2: Don't Say "Yes" or "No"

yes

In this game I will start by asking a yes/no question about your country. The first person to read it will answer the question in the comment section. The trick to this game is that you CANNOT use the words "yes" OR "no" in your answer. After answering the question, write a yes/no question (not a "wh" question) using "in your country" for the next person. (In your answer don't forget to tell us what your country is.)

no

Example:Q: Do people celebrate Mother's Day in your country?----------------A: M

My EC is growing quickly. It was only a short time ago that we were a very small group. We introduced ourselves and began making friends easily. As this club grows, let's all remember to make new members feel welcome. In other words, take the time to say hello.

Each time you log in click on MyEC to see if there are any new members. You can introduce yourself in a variety of ways:

My favorite holiday in Russian culture is New Year's Eve that is celebrated on the 31 st of December.

There is always a festive dinner in every home. Families and friends get together to stay up long during the night to see the old year off and to see new year in. There is lots of music, songs, fireworks and joy on this night. Everybody is happy and full of hope for positive changes in the coming year.Children get gifts from the traditional Russian gift-giver named Grandfather Frost and from his

Reading

Reading is the only way for me to stay in touch with English langauge, since I do not have the opportunity to use it in my daily life to communicate. While reading one acquires a language, because he enters a world where he can find love, hate, death, life...as Julius Lester says:"Open a book and enter a world that must be as beutiful as flowers opening in the spring"and in an other extract he says:"Letters made words, and words made visible the felt unseen." Besides, reading helps to learn vocab

My Favourite Poem

2345717549?profile=original
This poem is meaningful to me. I first saw this at the bookstore long time ago... (during my high school days) I had spent some spleepless nights pondering about this poem, but because of some reasons, I couldn't get a copy of it. Though, I was able to give it as a gift to a dear friend, I couldn't have a copy for myself. Then after some years, when it was completely out of my mind, the poem came to me again. This time, it's mine for I received it as a birthday gift from a friend. From there and

Drawing some character.

Beside of watching Animes and doing nothing. I like sometimes to draw something. Usually it's some unknown Anime/cartoon-like caracter. It's easier to draw those, because when some limb happens to gome out too big, or bigger than it's partner, when whole posture looks like it falls down. I can allways say, that it's just a feature, not an error. Although when drawing with computer. Mistakes are easyer to fix. Especially when using vector graphic editor like Inkscape. I still have big trouble to

Happy Lunar New Year!

The upcoming Chinese lunar new year is called 'year of the ox'. Every lunar year has a different kind of animal to name the year. Only 12 kinds of animals are chosen. In addition to 'ox', the others are 'rat', 'tiger', 'hare', 'dragon', 'snake', 'horse', 'sheep', 'monkey', 'cock', 'dog', 'boar'.Why the ancient Chinese chose these animals as the symbols: a long story. Every animal means differently to the people living in the land thousands of years ago. But, to me, what's important is that they
