Hello weird and lovely EC people!
Today I'm gonna introduce you the Alien Animal of The Day: A soldier "turtle" ant.
This ant uses its weird rounded head to block off the nest entrance.
Now, you might think: Oh my! If this bug had a human being's brain, it would be wondering stuff like: "What is my purpose in this life?? To live to be a simple ridiculous cap all my life?? Is that the insignificant meaning of my life?? Why do I have this weird ugly head and I cannot have a beautiful rounded 'normal' head like my other fellas?! Why am I so weird?? Why am I so miserable?? and blah, blah, blah, sob, sob, boo hoo....
Fortunately, this bug doesn't have a human being's brain and neither time to waste wondering random things. This "insignificant" weird soldier turtle ant is too busy keeping the whole colony save and sound, hidden from external threats.
Now, you get your own conclusions. Not gonna do all the work for you! :P
