Hi Tam, you have summarised the whole research in few words. I have nothing to add actually. As many countries and people in them, as many traditions and meanings of colors. If to speak about my country, then the red color from ancient times means beauty and health. Even the main square in the heart of my country is called The Red Square not because it has red bricks all around but because it was considered the most beautiful place times ago.
Pity that we pay less importance to such details studying foreign languages, thus we could avoid many misunderstandings. Lol. Like...if you gift a girl you love yellow flowers she will get confused thinking that you want to break up with her.
