I Was Sick That Day:

I WAS SICK THAT DAY:

“The plane took off today in the evening crashed in the mountains in North Region.”  This was the news I was watching on TV with shock.  My ears were ringing and mind swirling.

It was last Friday, my boss was having a meeting and discussing the marketing matter.

“MI you have to visit our North Region and help the regional manager to solve the problems he is facing with some dealers.”

“Ok Sir, I make the arrangement and leave on Wednesday.”

I made the booking of air ticket, and reservation in our corporate hotel.

I was in my bed when the news was broadcasted about the plane crash, the very plane in which I booked a seat to go to the North Region.  But I was in bed and watching the news, WHY because “I was sick that day’ and cancelled my visit.

  • I like the twist you gave at the end of your story, dear Mishaikh.

I am happy that your character was feeling under the weather and cancelled the trip that day.

  • Great imagination Mishaikh, it happens in real life also. I surely can't imagine the feeling of being saved because of a random incident like the sickness. It must be socking!

  • Thanks Eva for comment.  Yes, destiny always plays its role.  Not very often we have inner eye opened.  The bad happenings infect happens to be a blessing for an individual.

  • @Lynne.  Not yet, but may be some day.

    Thanks for encouragement.

  • You're good in writing. Have you tried gathering your written short stories and turn them into a book? You are so good in creating clear written pictures of your imagination. :-)

    Good luck!
