How to Tweet your MyPage Updates

twitter

It's great to see so many of you answering the question "What's new?" when you log in.Did you know that your status updates show up on the main page of MyEC? Answering the question "What's new?" is a great way to attract new visitors. The question "What's new?" is similar to Twitter's question "What's happening?". Now you can set up your MyPage updates to go out as tweets. Join Twitter to connect these two accounts. Here's how to connect MyEC to Twitter:1. Put a checkmark in the box with a t where you answer the question "What's new?" on your MyPage.

checkbox

2. You will see this pop up box. Click connect.

connect to TwitterYou will have to allow the app to access your MyPage.

3. Enter your Twitter information. If you don't have a Twitter account yet, create one! Here is an easy guide to Twitter for English learners.4. Write your Status update. If the t box is checked your update will show up on MyEC AND on your Twitter account. (That's called "killing two birds with one stone.") If you don't want it to go to Twitter, uncheck the box. If your update is too long, you will see a minus beside a number.

  • If you have any trouble, I recommend contacting Anjana to see how well it is working. We see her tweets @EnglishClub now (and the rest of the world does too!).
  • Did you know? After I wrote this blog I checked the box to share this blog post on Twitter. Now, many people can find it on MyEC and Twitter. Cool, huh?
  • Great! I'll give it a try.
