Since I was a Kid the Fatherhood has not changed much, but I can see some little differences: My father has spent more time in the pub, me (as I am father nowtime), I am spending evenings with study and playing games on my HC (home computer) instead of play with my third-years old daughter.

But now, when the spring time finishing and the garden period again starting, Me, My Father and little daughter, we want spend more time together. It is helpfully for improving the family connection, but somebody can be angry, because is nervous about actuality of his/her Facebook profile... Like my wife last time, she has had argument with me about the time, which we were spending together on our garden during last Sunday (Father’s barbecue day), when I do not wanted pack our tent (nice weather = why do not spend during night under stars with little fire).

This is maybe reason for my dad pubing (activity for frequent visiting the pub - habitué). And finally, reason for why the fathers need their own Fathers day(s) :-)

But do not be confused, I love my wife, but sometimes she do not (want) understand some things what I want/doing (motorbike, fishing, football, computer games, pub, snowboard, running, bicycle, in-line skating, playing guitar, etc…).

  • There is completely family issues you raised with humble presentation. I think so, there will always be a few people who have the courage to love what is untamed inside us. One of those men is father. Good blog!

  • Hello,

Thanks for participating in this month's writing challenge. I was very happy to see that you chose this topic from the list. Your post is very honest, and I think many couples struggle with these issues! My husband loves to go to the pub and play golf. He is much more interested in spending time with the family when he has had some time to himself doing things that he loves. I think everyone needs space and time to be who they really want to be.

    English tip: "three-year-old daughter"
