  • @MARY __ Yes, "dies" is pronounced "diez" with a buzzing sound zzzzz as in "buzz". On the contrary, "dice" ends with a hissing sound sssss as in "bus".

    The words 'dies' and 'dice' are not homophones.

    'Dies' ends with a /z/ sound (as in rise), whereas 'dice' ends with a /s/ sound (as in rice).
