Guests Can Be Different.....

You know we all from time to time have to be hosts and entertain our guests.I, too,  had visitors last Sunday and want to share my observations.

One of the guests was a sociable guy and he went directly to the pie. He was crunching and munching loudly without a trace of embarrassment. Indeed, I think he could have paid a little more attention to the host.     The other guy was so shy that he wouldn't even look at the treat, let alone support a decent conversation. So, when he finally decided to peep out, there was no pie left!    And it was time to leave.... But I couldn't let him go home disappointed so he had to take at least an apple to devour in his quiet place.     There is one more type of guests that visited me some time ago. Those are the bold type. They come early, take the best places and feel no scruples in demanding for food. It is pure luck that they don't eat much, though I must say they are real gourmets. Best of luck with your guests, my friends!!! :)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))

  • LOL Viet, chicken conquered foxes, so foxes had to chicken out:)))))))

  • I love to have these guests. But cockroaches or mice won't belong to my list, they are diligent ironing workers though LOL. In the past, sometimes there were foxes dropping by the houses at nights in my place to steal chicken, so they were not welcomed too. Now it's impossible to see foxes here, though we still have chicken here. LOL.

Nice blogs and nice photos. Thanks for sharing.

  • I guess the Russian hedgehogs are different from the Arabian ones. :)))))) They don't become tame but get used to people quickly. In rural areas some people even kept them as pets instead of cats because they catch mice, too.But that was in the past.

  • My surprise was complete when I saw that the guest too hungry to be polite was a hedge hog. I had these by my house when I lived in Saudi Arabia. They were very afraid of everyone and everything. The stray cats wanted to eat them but couldn't discover a place to bite safely.
    Cute photos!
  • Wow, that was awesome, Inna!  You should write a children's book.  No kidding!  Your imagination, creative and descriptive words are amazing.

Thank you for this blog.  I enjoyed reading it.  You are the best host ever!  I'd love to come for a visit and enjoy a pie or two.

  • Those are not pets, they really come to visit only. But hedgehogs get familiar quickly.

  • Loool ! me too I thought you were talking about human beings ! I liked the first crunchy munchy visitor/ Nice garden, I hope to get one with many different kind of pets one day . Thanks for sharing Inna .

  • In the beginning i thought you have 2 guys, human beings, visiting ur home and i was dreaming of visiting you too haha! wonderful garden u have and cute pets

    and that apple looks delicious!

  • You have really fascinating guests. LOL. I know when I was not in the house, there's this one feral cat that always came to the kitchen through the window. Once in a while I will saw some squirrel ran away from my yard, but never as interesting as this hedgehog.
