Go nuts with COCONUTS

Coconuts are grown in the tropics and the tree is versatile, to mankindFrom the fruit to its flower, leaves , trunk, and even to the humble;e husk never goes waste. It nurtures to a tree, from its dried fruit with the husk, and takes five to six years for it to bear fruit. Within a span of twenty to twenty five years brings it to full maturity, in height and bearing fruits. The king coconut is the tender fruit and is the ideal thirst quencher in the tropics, its colorless ,and the kernel is tasty too.

When it passes the stage , the kernel becomes very mature and there is less water. We use the milk of the coconut to make our curries more delicious. the kernel is scraped and the milk extracted.

The leaves are thatched for roofing, and in the cottage industry for ornaments , little baskets.etc. The tree trunk doesn't go waste too,its used as rafters. and the flowers too are fermented for alcoholThe Coconut tree is our national tree and the pride of our nation and is also an export earner, through copra and dedicated. So I end with another picture of them gracing our soil with full splendor and pride.
