According to the institute of Physical and Chemical Research in Japan, when they researched Japanese genes, they found that Japanese people have evolved over several thousand years as a people who can't drink alcohol much. A specific reason has not been found yet, but it seems to be an advantage for adaptation to the Japanese environment. There is a similar evolution in Africa, where African people have red blood cells which are not easily affected by malaria. A researcher at the institute says that we have not yet found why Japanese people who can't drink much alcohol are better adapted to the Japanese environment.

I sometimes drink alcohol , but not mush. I usually drink one or two 500 ml cans of beer per week and a bit plum liquor three or four days in a week. If I drink alcohol, I get cheerful. But I don't drink enough alcohol to feel sick. There are some people who behave violently or become dismal or offensive to others when they drink. I don't like people like that. Shouldn't we drink alcohol for enjoyment? Do you like to drink? How much alcohol do you drink? What are you like when you drink alcohol ?

  • Hello, Sandra. Thank you for your comment. Non-alcoholic beer may be a good choice for people who are week in alcohol.

  • Sandra,

you're kidding me, aren't you?  I can admit about Chilean wine, actually I've tried it, there must be good vineyards there BUT... your sangría!???  No Way.   The best sangría in the world is still here, come and try  ;D

  • Ohh.. how healthy Chileans ladies are! :D

@Ishtar... surely not as funny as listening to you after drinking all that you say :o

  • Hello, Ishtar, Thank you for your comment. Yes, Estanis's comments are always witty. Oh, I can't drink like you.

  • Hi, Onee-chan. Thank you for your comment.

  • LOL Estanis interventions usually make the comment section super fun to read!

    Well, my answers...

I'm not too fond of drinking. Alcohol is too bitter for me. I usually think it's boring to feel tipsy or drunk and I'm not so good at handling alcohol, really.

That's also because I like to mix things when I drink: I start with a beer, then a vodka coctel. Then a Tequila coctel. Then more beer because I spent all my money on those coctels. And then I feel sick.

I don't get violent, nor "happy", nor stubborn. But I do speak a lot more and have enough confidence to go dancing. I don't usually dance when I'm sober.

In my country is really common going to drinking partying on weekends and week days, and here, my city is famous for its beers.

  • Hi Tam,

Do you like to drink? NO

How much alcohol do you drink? ZERO

Shouldn't we drink alcohol for enjoyment? NO, I don't find any benefit.

Thank you for the questions. :)

  • Hi, Olga. Thank you for your comment. Estanis is always witty and have a sense of humor.

  • The joke is interesting. As for Japan, "If no one can do it, I can wait till someone can do it and then I can follow it". This may be reality.

  • ROFL...!!! She'd never success here with such name hahahahhhh.... we'd better keep the meaning for ourselves lol..!

We,ve many jokes about Japanese names or quotes that surely means nothing in your language but sounds like Japanese for us, but we have also less funny comparisons like:

Japanese rationally... 'if something can be done by someone, then I can do it too, if no one can do it, I can be the firt one in doing it'

Spanish rationality... ' if something can be done by someone, let him do it, if no one can do it, why the hell am I going to do it!?  :D
