Dear ladies!

Dear ladies!

I would like to congratulate you all today, you know today is International women's day! Yes, I know some people tend to think why a day for the women or what its purpose or why a day is marked  for them (for the women)?

Well, first I want to say, we are still struggling around the globe for many things, somewhere to fulfill/get  basic needs, somewhere not to be abused, somewhere to  get  chance to go to school, to get freedom as a woman and human being, to say what we like to do that means to express our mind, ideas and views. There are still many women who have no  rights to lead their own life as per their choice! They  are bound to obey other's order.

Even, in privileged society women face obstacles! And, more over, many women/girls are not that much aware about themselves, how? Well, let me say, I cried one night badly thinking why I were not a boy, why I was a girl? Of course, there was a reason behind it, reason was, then I was a student of  11/12th class, in the evening  time boys could go to the tuition what I could not and that is why I cried! Now, I think, I should have cried thinking why situation was like that why after sunset it was not safe to go out for tuition.

Another thing is, we should be respectful to ourselves, if we can not or do not respect ourselves then why else opposite gender will do? Look, I have never seen or met a boy/men who cries over no to be a woman or why they can not do many things like women. But, many of us tend to think in this way!

In my opinion we grew up hearing some ideas / views that worsen the situation. For example, when a girl can do a thing accurately, some parents/family members like to praise her saying, '' Oh...you are not my girl you are my/our boy or you are more ( capable) than a boy!' Sounds like,  girl's status and quality is lower than a boy!

I also think, workplaces are  not ready for us! In modern era, Males started working outside first so till now office settings are more male friendly in comparison to women! How? Look, when a office has been built there are male's prayer rooms, wash rooms, they do not need to ask for it and most of the cases women have to ask for it. Even in many parts of the world they need to  request their authorities to arrange a baby corner or day care facility! Look, we are women and of course along with it, we are human being too, but as a woman we have some different needs, like men have! And, it is a pity, we are used to thinking what men do, it is a symbol of the whole human being/it is a  measuring standard which is very wrong! Human being has two disguise features, one is woman another is man, both are human being but both have some differences!

So, I would like to say, as men enjoy their male identity along with their human being identity, we also should feel proud for our identity as a complete human being and as a woman!

Take care!

  • Thank you so very much for your informative comment! Hat's up! Okay, I know about the past to some extant but reading your comment I feel like I must read again!

  • Thanks everybody for your time and comments!

@ Dara, there is a day for the men too but sorry I forgot the date!

@ Roman, thanks a lot! Thanks for reading and telling the truth!

@ Ali, sorry, I did not get your point!

@ Mary, dear, I think men also need a day to express their mind. Look, some men are also in problems, but yes their problems must be different from us!

@ Anum, Yes,  sometimes we need to say we are here with them. Specially at working places, look, we still have to ask for many things, i, e, day care facility for us ( though it is also a satire as men's kids also stay there..lol), Some where we need to demand wash rooms for us.

@ Jack, Thanks a lot! But, time has been changed a bit...now some women make roads and every women teach their kids how to walk on them! We should keep it up!

  • satire is on the society.Every year this day is celebrated to remind the world that so called creature "woman" exist. she is also human having feelings and emotions.Respect her. Thanks for sharing your views......

  • ali kabosh, I barely can get the nonsense you say, but why the heck are you talking about beauty or measuring women by it???  ...What if we also measure the value of a guy for the size of their *#@&^ing d*cks, for instance?

  • Nice  and enjoyable blog..... from my point of view.. Every society actually  has its own measure, which measures the beauty of women, and if women do not have a other  status  than their beauty  (which charming men ) that would be equal to all the other rights they call for in their societies

  • Nice post bet, thanks for sharing :)

About that people who think why guys don't have any 'special day', well... I wonder which problems a straight guy has to face in his society just for being a straight guy and what rights need to defend... the right of keep being privileged? ...sigh. "When you’re accustomed to privilege, equality feels like oppression"...

  • Hi Bet!

When it is not safe to go outside at night for women. It is not safe to go out at night for everyone!

And it is not a women's fault. It is a government's fault. Government should finance the street security at both, daytime and night time.

Well, there are some things, that I would like to be able to do like women do.

Yes, I also grew up with that f-_- thought, that women are not equal men. I am really sorry for that.

Yes, exactly, both genders have differences: advantages and disadvantages. So we should understand each respect other!

    Happy Women's Day!

  • Shagatum Bet! I wonder if you will do the same when our day comes. By the way, when is the man's day? I got the idea of my next discussion from chatting with you and I will try to show it to the members. I hope it works.
