Christmas in Iran.

As we know, some people are living in the world have a religious. Although some of them have any religious which named freethinker.

In Iran, majority of the people are Muslim. However there are some minority people who live in Iran which have other religious such as Christian, Zoroastrian and so on.

In Iran the Christian people feast Christmas day. Though their ceremony has some different with other nations. Christmas in Iran is known as a little feast. At the first day of 25th December. a great fast is observed. During this fast they do not eat milk, eggs, cheese and meat. It is for promotion of peace and Meditation. They go to the church and pray for having prosperity new year. Finally they break fast.

The boys and girls of Iran have never heard about Santa Claus. So they do not exchange their gifts of Christmas. Instead they receive new clothes which they proudly wear all during the happy Christmas week.

I hope I could help you to familiar with my Christian people when they feast Christmas week.

By the way, I thank to everybody who let me know if I have some fault in my sentences.

  • Also a lot of Jews are living in IRAN... as an Iranian... they have a right to vote to choose their MP in the Parliament and also a right to choose the president... Christian, Zoroastrian are like these too... Why... why when we say Israel must go... all the people say Iranians are anti-Semite while the Iranian Jews themselves hate Israel and Zionists a lot...
