Choosing the Best

A man is passing through a forest and he sees two baskets under the tree. One is full of gold and other is full of fruits. He is the only one standing there and has to take one basket with himself. if this is you, what would you do? and where do you spend it? (Remember the Day of Judgement)

  • What does not belong to you is not yours whether it is valuable as gold or cheap (comparatively with gold).  So when these are not mine, I will not take any of these and prefer to pass by.

  • "nothing to be worried"? "worried" about what?? and "controlling yourself"?? ...erm, sorry but these words shouldn't even show up when you're doing something genuinely and honestly 'good' or 'right'. If they do, then you're just being 'good' for your personal and egoistic interests (looking for "daddy-God" approval) If you've to 'control yourself', then you're just refraining to do what you really wanna do, and that's not honest.

And btw, I don't take any of these baskets: 1st 'cause I'm not interested on fruits, 2nd'cause if I take the gold, I know sooner or later police will knock at my door asking for it, 3rd because I'm even more stupid than the stupid guy who lost the basket of gold because I'd feel bad for the guy, thinking 'what if' the stupid guy needed his gold to pay a life or death surgery, or to pay the mafia who otherwise would kill his children or... etc. and 4th... yeah, Roman was right: I'm too lazy and I just want to have a peaceful walk in the damn forest ¬¬

  • Thank you all for your comments. @Evangelina thumbs up for your active participation. @Kembang i like your answer the most. Even if i have to choose then i'll go with the gold & spend all for humanity rather than left it for some silly person who doesnot care about his stuff. There are many people who need this.
@Mary ignoring "divine spy camera" thing, if you do good for others with clear mind and heart then nothing remain to be worried about. Moreover if you have tendency to not to pick a single piece from there then i appreciate you are a very good at controlling yourself :-)

  • Well, Evangelina, I don't believe in karma. But your scenario os interesting!!!:)

  • Kembang, ok, but only if MARY will stop to look at me with these disapproval eyes ---> ¬¬

  • Hello Kembang,

:)) I like the idea about the bag, so girly thing.

Also, if it serves a good purpose to help others in need then count me in for sure.

  • Hello Roman,

Yes, that is right, but they weigh something even it may be fruits.

Here is another scenario acting out of conscious; I would steal one apple and take two pieces of the gold, then I would run away as fast as I could :))

I would sell the gold and buy myself a diamond ring, and then every time I would look at that ring, I would be reminded of my sneaky act, LoL.

Genuinely, if it was reality I would let the baskets be, because I believe in karma, and I believe if we take what do not belong to us, we are going to pay the one or other way.

That is just my opinion :)

  • :))

  • Ehm, ehm..... *Just coughing )))

My answer will be the same with Eva and Mary. It is heavier to take responsibility. :)
