I have a Band-Aid on my finger,One on my knee, and one on my nose,One on my heel, and two on my shoulder,Three on my elbow, and nine on my toes. Two on my wrist, and one on my ankle,One on my chin, and one on my thigh,Four on my belly, and five on my bottom,One on my forehead, and one on my eye.One on my neck, and in case I might need ‘emI have a box full of thirty-five more. But oh! I do think it’s sort of a pityI don’t have a cut or a sore! This poem written by Shel Silverstien.

  • Dear Nadiyah, Thanks a lot for reading the poem.
  • Dear Nafis,
Band-aids are helpful for every part of the body except for one.... the heart.
I hope you are doing fine.
    Big tight hug,
  • Thanks a lot for your interpretation,
I agree with you, in this life, we find things like that.
I want to say the poem is meaningful and author it has a heart smart

    have good day,

  • Dear Nadiyah,

Thank you very much for reading the poem. What I interpret is that the person does not have any serious problem but he used a lot of band-aids. This situation reminds me of myselfe. I somtimes nag about unimportant things.

    Have a nice day/night,
  • nice poem but sadness, what's going on ....

  • hey hoool dear friends i love
  • Dear Said,

Thank you very much for your comment. Your idea is really valuable. However, I don't know what you mean by saying the sad notion about the future of earth. No one can predict the future. I did not get what you mean.

The poem is not written by me. The poem is wirrten by Shel Silverestien, the American writer and fellow friends here only have said their own idea about the poem. Different people can interpret a subject differently. So, you can interpret it in the way you like.

Thank you for readin the poem and also for your nice comment.

  • I liked the poem but I don't agree with your sad notions about the future of the Earth;
even I'm cmpletely with all the views that somthing serious should be done urgently.
Man made it and man must stop it .
