April fool

Today is April 13 and no one talked about April Fool. I guess people want to forget about such kind of jokes. If you fool me, I can also fool you. The joke makes a fool of someone or some people. It brings hatred, grudging, and hard feelings between people. I do not know the origin of the April Fool Day. It could be a British, Dutch or Spanish. We do not celebrate this Day in our country.

People, who love to tease or joke, make others angry and uneasy. Practical jokes or mischievous act is not desirable. Look at those TV programs. They put a hidden camera and then they play or act mischievously on some innocent bystanders. They frustrated them to a degree of getting them out of their control and temper. I do not like most of these programs although some of them are very funny and make you laugh.

The people who make a celebration for this day saw that it was very wise to forget about it or at least, not to talk about it. Magazines, newspapers, websites stopped doing that. It will lead to more hatred and grow hard feelings on those who are fooled. Honestly, I do not like tricks.

  • Hi Dara,

Really " April fool's day" used to be very funny and we used to enjoy a lot and we celebrate it a lot but by and by I forget to make my friends fool on this day. Really kids and teenagers enjoy this day very well. Even I used to fool my teachers and elders but it is only a part of fun when I was in 6 th grade.

  • Exatamente Estanis! If it is for innocent jokes and humour, it is ok. We need it too. Thanks, Mr Estanis for your comment.

  • They must be taken with a sense of humour, just like life in general.

  • Dara thanks for replying to the "unaware" appraising them about the what is fact and what is misunderstood.  There are lots of phobias and you have responded one of them. Thanks.

I appreciate your ways you always try to give us the knowledge in your unique way.

  • Geenkey Rysperski! The Arabic term "Islam"  comes from the word "salam" which means peace. Extremists , fanatics or some sick minded ones  are not really Muslims.  They use it to get what they target for. Thanks, Rysperski for your observation on April Fool.

  • Dyakuyu Svetlana! Now, I can tell my family about it. They like to visit Europe and especially, your beautiful place.

  • There is no concept of hurting people in Islam in either way April fool or otherwise - otherwise ->ISIS, Al Shabab, Boko Haram, Hezbollah and alike?

  • You are welcome, dear Dara.

  • Spasibo Kate, thanks for pressing the like button. Could I be one of your friends? Thanks again.

  • Kunichiwa Tam! One hundred percent, I agree with you, Tam. Harmless jokes and fun are no problem. We have to have time for fun and entertainment. Many many thanks Tam.
