An earth we will never see

I was wondering the other day....If man disappears from earth for any reasons, what will happen to our watery planet?Among all the creatures that are living on earth we ( humans ) have the most effect on her, you can trace us almost anywhere from deep in the ocean to up in the sky and even in outer space. And we hurt her any way we can. To know what we have done to her we must imagine a world in which we do not live on earth anymore. What will happen to roads we have made, cities we have constructed and you name it?explore your imagination and tell what you think or imagine...An earth that we will never see.

  • Life After People is on the History Channel. You can see info and maybe some clips at:

  • Thank you for your comments,

I wonder if the program you mentioned is still on air.
  • There is a programme on TV (History Channel or NatGeo etc???) called something like "Life after People". It's very encouraging. It shows us that if people disappeared tomorrow, then within a few hundred years there would be almost no trace of humans having existed at all. New York City for example would, without maintenance, collapse and return to the swamp it once was within decades. The rest of the animal kingdom and the vegetable kingdom would of course continue as normal. Humans have existed for a mere fraction of the Earth's existence, and could, like many species before, be wiped out in an instant - and not a tear would be shed.
