Amid the Typhoon

Thank you dear friends for all the words full of concern.

*********

For the past 3 days I was in communication with Dim through his blog "Pray for Philippines."  I like to grab this opportunity for keeping in touch with friends who are truly concerned about my status.  Let it be known that I truly don't feel alone especially when words of concern reached me through Dim's blog and through skype.  You are indeed a bunch of caring friends!

  • I'm glad that typhoon didn't do much damage in your town!

  • I missed your typhoon because I have no TV and apologize that I was not sending messages of concern.

Please don't feel sorry for me about the TV because I don't like television.  The only way I would consider one is if it would work as a giant computer monitor because I wouldn't connect it to cable or an antenna.

I'm so glad that the typhoon was not too hard on your town. We have had a few here in Japan, but the houses are built to survive earthquakes and the typhoons just shake them up with their winds. Now we are deep in snow, but I'm getting used to moving a few cubic meters of snow so I can drive to work.

  • typhoon is very terrible!!!!

    be careful

  • Hi Anele@I guess that your blog has got lukewarm without my comment (kidding).
life is full of hard times, wars here and Typhoons there. In the such difficulties a person needs a hug without a reason, nice words without occasion or even something pleasant makes you smile. Hope my comment brings joy to your nice eyes.
I pray to Allah to be always safe and comfortable. Sorry for being late to comment. I can see some forgiveness in your heart. You are indisputably one of my very dear friends Anele.

  • Sweet Mickey... No more worries.  I just experienced internet shortage yesterday due to the damage done on some cables but it was already fixed after a day.  Thanks a lot!

Dear Kiriku....It so happened that Pacific Ocean is just an arm's reach (haha) that we are always visited by typhoons.  Thanks for your warm and nice words.  I hope your close friend will let you know what happened to him, too so that you will not worry a lot.  I heard that this typhoon's next destination was yours.  Fortunately, it turned into a tropical depression already.  Bless you, too my dear!

  • Yeah....I am already safe and sound, Mishaikh.  This typhoon is considered to be the largest and the strongest this year but we are spared from its wrath.  And thanks also that this typhoon weakens into a tropical depression already before it completely departs from my country.

  • I have a Filipino close friend  and it made me sooo worried actually when I couldn't contact him for last few days. I feel we are so close because I know well and have experienced many times before how terrible a big typhoon could bring to us... Your country always is the first destination and mine is right after... God bless you and your people as well as mine.

  • Oh my Gosh! Darn Hagupit! I'm so sorry to hear this bad news! How's everything going in your hometown now?

God bless you and your people!

    Hugs!

  • Hopefully, it would have been subsided by now and you are safe and sound.

  • @ Ramnord, Femina, Mahmood

Sincere thanks to all of you.  Really glad to see your warm message here.  Times like this is always inevitable but being battered by the harmful effect of nature does not stop us from standing up again and moving forward with encouraging steps.

You are very much appreciated my friends!
