A Walk Through the Desert What is forgiveness? Two friends were walking through the desert. During some point of the journey they had an argument, and one friend slapped the other one in the face. The one who got slappedwas hurt, but without saying anything, wrote in the sand: TODAY MY BEST FRIENDSLAPPED ME IN THE FACE.

They kept on walking until they found an oasis, where they decided to take a bath. The one who had been slapped got stuck in the mire and started drowning, but the friend saved him. After he recovered from the near drowning, he wrote on a stone: TODAY MY BEST FRIEND SAVED MY LIFE.

The friend who had slapped and saved his best friend asked him, "After I hurt you, you wrote in the sand and now, you write on a stone, why?"The other friend replied "When someone hurts us we should write it down in sand where winds of forgiveness can erase it away. But, when someone does something good for us, we must engrave it in stone where no wind can ever erase it."LEARN TO WRITE YOUR HURTS IN THE SAND - FORGIVE AND FORGET - AND TO CARVE YOUR BENEFITS IN STONE.

  • hello Nguyễn Thị Phú
I don't know what they have done to hurt you but I think you should try to forgive your friends , you said that you miss them may be they didn't meant to hurt you, remember that we are human so we are not be perfect . I know Trust is hard to reclaim once it has been broken, but if they were very important in your life I think they deserve a second chance .
    thanks for your comment
    Good luck
  • I've had one trio. They are the only two friends who can listen, understand and share my feeling. But they hurt me. Not many times. Only one serious period. They made me lose all belief in friends. Until now, they also want to contact with me, but I feel uncomfortable and fearful. The rest of my friends could not understand and sympathize with me. Whenever I face to the problems and sadness, I miss them. But our friendship likes a broken mirror...
