A scientist or a football player

The idea came playing inside my imagination. It was absolutely absurd and naïve at the same time. It happened when I read about the famous deal in history. Three twos! I cannot forget that number 222 million Euro. The biggest deal, which was made by those agents, managers, brokers, executives with the French club and Barcelona, the famous Spanish club.

The chairman of the Paris Saint Germain, Mr. Nassir Khelaifi wanted to transfer Neymar Da Silva, the Brazilian striker to his club. The deal reached the highest one in the history of succor. Neymar is getting more than forty million euro per year. This is unbelievable.

At first, I said to myself, let your sons learn how to read and write, and then concentrate on teaching them how to gain football skills. Those skills; can they be gained or can we create them? I discussed the matter with my wife and she was not convinced. She wanted her sons to become Doctors or engineers. I was not convinced either with that situation.

The salary of my son as a doctor could not reach half of that amount during the year. I am not good at mathematics; I tried to bring the calculator and explained the amount in figures to my wife, but it seems she was far away from that idea. She told me that they might not act as that Brazilian striker. Alternatively, they might break their feet or legs. I am in a hole. Was that right? Being a famous scientist is good, but look at the huge amount of money people get from succor.

Do you remember that Brazilian midfielder? Or maybe he was a striker. Socrates was his name. He was a doctor, I could not recall whether he was a dentist or not. He left medicine to go to succor and then resigned. When he was asked why, he replied that at a certain age, you would not be able to play succor, but medicine would be there for a long time.

  • Eu concordo com voce James. I agree with you. By the way, now I heard that Neymar's previous Spanish club wants him back. Do you think Paris San German will ask the same price? Do you know that I like the Brazilian team more than I love my country team? Once more, thanks for your nice efforts reading and commenting.

    • Hey, friend.

Your article give me an idea: I'll try to create a blog about brazilian football in English. I like this sport too. I think Neymar goes to Real Madrid or Barcelona. He dislike PSG... Thanks!

  • I think some managers and agents in football (soccer) are really "scientists" because they get to raise maximum profits with minimum efforts. And Neymar have his personal "scientist" too.

    Next time!

  • Main tum ku itifaq hain, White Knight Har waqat, aap sahih bola. Yes, I must leave both Mohammed and Ahmed to think and choose their way in life. It is just the pile of money that comes from succor made me a bit shaky. Thanks, White Knight for your guide comment.

  • Gamza hamnida Inha! Starting from the last line of your comment. A striker can gain more than a doctor. That what made my mind flew away, Inha. Of course, I have to give my son to choose his own pass in life. I would not be a stone on his way. I really appreciate your useful comment.

  • I would Suggest you to let you Sons decide this when the time comes , every person's interest in particular field differs , your doing good as a father thinking about their future but ultimately the final decision will depend on what field do they prefer.

  • I would like you to ask to your son about what to be and what to be intrested in... whatever it is, it's his own life, future, and the way that he himself will get through. Parents can just motivate him and suggest to give a advice or guide as a senior of life... If I were you, I wish my son will be a medical doctor than a athlete. In the fields like artist, athlete, the natural genius and talent are so important as constant effort. it's not kinda thing to choose but to be chosen by God. moreover, possiblity to success for a doctor is higher than for a striker, I think.

  • Darb almathal khob, doste khoban Darius! Nice proverb. Thanks again.

  • Khaili mumnoon Darius! I guess you were right about it. Money always blinds me. When I see those businessmen collect thousands of dollars in a jiffy, or they just answer the phone and say sell or buy. Look at those brokers at the money market and how do they burn their nerves and come up at the end with a pile of money. Thanks, Darius. for your wise guidance.

  •  We have a proverb

A good smell perfume doesn't need to be advertised.
