ฟ้าขมุกขมัว

เปลวไฟจากเตาเร่งน้ำมันเดือด

ฟารีดาหย่อนชิ้นไก่ลงในกระทะ

ฝนกำลังมา

ลูกค้าคนแรกพูดเปรยๆ

ฟารีดาชะงักมือ

แหงนมองฟ้า

กล่าวดุอาเงียบๆในใจ

สายลมปะทะพัดพาจากตะวันตก

ฟารีดาเขียนบทกวี..

Sky was dusky.

Flame in the oven speedily boiled oil.

Fareeda dropped a piece of chicken into the pan.

"Rain is going to fall!",

said first customer of the day.

Fareeda stopped short her hand,

turned up to stare at the sky

and prayed silently in her mind.

Strong western wind still attacked us all.

Fareeda wrote the poem.
