Hello again

After the occupation of the US espionage den (the US embassy in Tehran, 1979) by the Muslim students following the Imam Khomeini's line, the US imposed some economic sanctions on Iran, dispatched its military fleet to the Persian Gulf and utilized some Iranian mercenaries and anti-revolutionary elements in the country. But one of the important fields which provided the causes of the US invasion against Iran, was the failure of all US diplomatic efforts and designs in order to release its arrested diplomats (read spies). The US president at that time was Jimmy Carter.

It is good to know that from more than 5 months before the military invasion, the US government has been preparing their commandos with complex and intensive training in Arizona desert (where is almost similar to the Iran's desert regions from the standpoint of climate). They have used the most complicated military technics from the defense and military weapons to the modern technology of warplanes. They had also dedicated an unlimited budget to this matter. The US Meteorological Organization had fully anticipated the weather conditions in Tabas desert (i.e. the desert which had been selected for performing the operation) especially in the landing area, and due to it was a moonlit night, any non-favorable weather conditions and storms hadn't predicted for that.

A military task force was created in cooperation with Israeli intelligence (Mossad). On November 22, 1979 at a joint meeting with Israel's defense minister, the US ambassador in Tel Aviv and military attache of the US, the details of Israel's collaboration in this operation became clear. There were about 90 commandos in that military task force. Beside this group, a bunch of Iranian former military officers (related to previous regime, before revolution) were sent to Tehran to find the exact location of the hostages. A few days later, a second group were dispatched to Tehran, to lead the night raid on the embassy in order to release the hostages. By command of a few Iranian traitor officials, 3 days left to the time of the operation, around 8 hundred 23mm anti-aircraft artilleries were gathered from the central parts of the country and sent to Tehran and some radars at the borders and central parts were turned off.

Due to extended training, repeated practices and simulation of the operation in different parts, the probability of victory for the United States was (predicted) more than 90%. "Eagle Claw" was the name of the operation designed by the special forces (Commandos) of America's Army called Delta Force and the operation's commander was Charlie Beckwith who was so famous in Vietnam war.

Finally, on 24th April of 1980 (a day like today), at dawn, six MC-130 and EC aircrafts and eight RH-53D helicopters, Violated the country's airspace (from the south borders) and landed in the Tabas desert (desert One).

In spite of all predictions, while refueling, because of sand storm, a helicopter collided to the plane carrying fuel and caused a massive explosion which converted that region to the hell. 8 American were killed and the rest left 5 helicopters (and even their 8 killed solders) in the desert, quitted the mission and left the country. Imam Khomeini believed that the America's failure in the Tabas desert was the conclusive result of divine intervention and expressly declared that : "This silly maneuver, at the command of Almighty Allah, failed".

Nowadays, the mentioned place in Tabas desert, has become an exhibition. Some artificial helicopters and EC-130 aircraft, have been made and put there. I took the following pictures from there about 2 months ago.

  • Very informative blog =)
Recently I found a platform, a kind of social network for the military, where you can learn a lot about military service in different parts of the world and not only.

  • Wow, Great Blog!

  • LOL, Needling !?  ,,,  Me !?      8-|

That's OK, let it be, but I have many pictures in this field and I will not bother that lion more.    :)

  • C'mon Mohammad, please don't needle me lol...
I do like your discussion but you,ve read many of my comments about this or similar topics during lots of months and you know my stance. Let us it be, your lion is happily enjoying in the jungle to bring it here :D

As for Trump, there are very few or none ideas I share with him, so I only read half of the speech you linked. For me all his discussions are the same.
  • Mishaikh,

As a matter of fact, we (Iran) never have wanted, want and will want the nuclear weapon. BUT the enrichment of Uranium for the peaceful usages (such as using in energy generation fields, medical fields, high-tech fields and so forth) according to NPT treaty, IS THE RIGHT OF ALL COUNTRIES. No one has the right to say that we should allow you to have this technology. ,,, but the US has problem even with our peaceful usages, let alone the nuclear weapon !!

Thank you Mishaikh for the comment.

    Estanis,
it was a pity that you gave up continuing the discussion. Anyway Thanks for the comment.

But the following link is one of the Trump's campaign speeches. other candidates do also have something like this.

Read Donald Trump's Speech to AIPAC
Here's a full transcript of the candidate's remarks
  • Hehe... No my friend, I'm not warming up to raise any political discussion, even less with you, and no, it's not my business, its just my view although it's not bad that everyone involve just a little and express their ideas regardless we live not to be ruled like puppets.
Anyway I think Obama's legislature has been far more moderate at international policy. Let's pray not to have Trump as a president in The States.

Btw, I just wanted to suggest that resentment is not a good feeling to raise a productive understanding although, I agree, bad comparison.
  • US has received billions of dollars from our country in advance for the sale of F16 Air plane, but now they have refused the supply neither giving back the money.

Besides these days 'Anti Iran' is the main agenda of presidential candidates of US for next election. Watch their debates how they are boasting to destroy the to be atomic country.

Donald Trump said Iran does not have any right to have a nuclear weapon.

Why? He didn;t say a word for this.

  • Hello Estanis, seems you are warming up to start a serious heavy political discussion !!    :)
Anyway I like to debate about this topic and surely it is your business ! , so don't worry  :D

    But about your example,

In fact it is good example, but there is a little mistake in your comparison. See bro, Hitler and Nazism in former Germany, have been finished and gone, and nowadays the Germans and their chancellor, Anjela Merkel, have good relationship with the other Europeans (otherwise, if Hitler or someone like him still ruled Germany, then you would see the relationship of the Germany and other Europeans, and also you would realize that you must forget the past or not !).

BUT, what about the US !? ,,, during the past 40 years, Just their government has been changed, not their politics and behaviors towards other countries. If you remember, the Obama's slogan before being president (when he was a presidential candidate) was "Change" ! ,,, and we were hopeful that he might change the US behavior to our country as well, but we didn't see anything !!

Or as you might see, these days, the current US presidential candidates, in their campaign speeches, are competing with each other in the "hostility against Iran" !! ,,, I wanted to write some of their speeches here (which they have promised to do against Iran), but it was so much (several pages). Therefore your comparison is not correct and I must add that we have problem with just the US government not the US people.

The US never apologized because of the works that it has done against Iran and moreover Their feud still continues (you may see the sanctions and its stance on Iran's nuclear issue). So, what do you expect from us ? ,,, should we forget !?
The US, is just a country, and not to have relationship with one country, doesn't mean to be isolated from all. In the past time our relationship with the former Soviet Union was not good as well, but as you see our current relationship with Russia and other Independent countries is nice, because their attitude and behavior toward us have been changed.

    Thanks for your comment

  • My dear friend, I understand your feelings to certain extent.

As I commented in your previous blog, my attitude toward these events in the history is looking ahead and just look back not to forget so that sad incidents don't reply by learning from them. Should Europe still have bad relaction with Germany for the events happened in the past? and I prefer not to think what Southamericans would think about Spaniards if they wouldn't have forgotten lol...

I mean that Good relationships and open minding are necessary for a good inner development in this globalised world not to be isolated.

You might say that's not my business but it's only my opinion :)

Best wishes for you and your family my friend.
  • Thank you for the comment dear Estanis. All my statements in this blog and the previous one, are documented. You can also search the internet for more information. You and others MUST know why our relationship with the US is not good.
