4 TIPS TO LEARN ENGLİSH

4 TIPS TO LEARN ENGLİSH

1) Listen, Listen, Listen

I think listening is the most important skill. And the easiest one to practise. You can practise listening while you're doing housework or even sleeping. There are videos just for this.

2) Speak As Much As You Can

Many people struggle with speaking but the only way to get better is to practise more. Talk to a friend or with yourself. You can find a question to disguss. There are some example questions below.

  • Are birthdays important? Why?
  • What 3 things would you take with you if you were stuck on an island? Why?
  • Why do kids like sweet?

3) Do Everything In English

I don't mean everything but you can do many things in English. You can translate the language of your phone or computer to English. You can watch English movies and series. There are some movies that I recommend below. (Note: Many of them are children's movies. I prefer them because they're easy to understand.)

  • Harry Potter
  • How to Train Your Dragon?
  • Ballerina
  • Maleficent
  • The Odd Life of Timothy Green
  • Dumbo
  • A Christmas Carol
  • Beauty and The Beast
  • Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them?
  • Minions
  • Despicable Me
  • ZOMBIES (Disney)
  • Shrek
  • Frozen

4) Read

Maybe you haven't got much time to read but you can read short stories too. And some books that I recommend. ⬇ (children's books)

  • Harry Potter - J.K. Rowling
  • A Christmas Carol - Charles Dickens
  • The Happy Prince - Oscar Wilde
  • Matilda - Roald Dahl
  • The Magic Finger - Roald Dahl
  • Wayside School (series) - Louis Sachar

  • Thank you for the list !

I would add to your list websites - simulators. I know about the existence of many Russian - English with different kind of tasks and "Duolingo" with a variety of different languages, but fulfils basically just grammar.

  •  Ayse, it is a wonderful blog.

In my won pont of view, I would suggest that you consider all four parts at the same weigh. In our country, learning English means Reading & Writing-Grammar. Later, I've found that listening is also very helpful. Recently, I've been though  pronunciation. I've discoverd that it's immensely helpful. seems that I can spot things quickly, at the same time it brings elegance in your English life😊 . It has brought a new dimension on my learning English journey.

    Thanks for bringing those lists.

I hope, I would give a try following your lists. I am a fan of Roald Dahl, Recently, I've finished his one book. Your list renewd my interest to Matilda which I didn't try yet.

    • I think Matilda is Roald Dahl's best book.
