Men and Women are so friendly most of the time.

There are so many pleasing and attractive things members of the opposite sex do.  Even if you’re not into them romantically, there’s usually something to enjoy.

But on the other hand, members of the opposite sex also have this unique and disturbing ability to annoy.

So here are some 4 most annoying things guys say to girls. :)

1) Calling us "Baby", "Sweetie","Love" or any kind of romantic names.

Hello I mean like it's okay if it's your best guy friend or someone you already know. But when you're chatting with a guy for the very first time and they come up with such kind of names, it's really annoying.

2) Saying your picture is  "Hot, Sexy" or such kind of things.

As I have mentioned before, if your best guy friend or your best friends tell you this, you won't feel aggressive. But when you talk with a guy for the first time through any social media or this kind of sites it's really annoying. Like Hello you're here to learn English not to impress women. -_-

3) Asking for pictures.

This is the most offensive thing I have ever faced. I don't think I've to talk about this much. Every women might have faced this kind of problem when using social media.

4) Asking for Privet Details.

It has been three days since I joined this site and everyone is like, hey do you have Skype? I don't think it's something that guys do to annoy us. But at the same time I don't think that any girl share their Skype ID with a random stranger they met in an English Learning web site.

Okay this is all I can think of, at the moment, if you have faced the same situation like this post  also if you disagree, comment below. I'll be happy to face any kind of disagreements :)

  • I absolutely agree with you! These things really irritate. I think such people are not aimed to learn English, it's not serious... I would say it's rediculous.

  • am not going to say "i agree" or "i disagree"

i'm going to talk about the reason of  why they are doing that.

    from wikipedia : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Club

"club is an association of two or more people united by a common interest or goal."

and here, the interest or goal is english.

i am sure that for the first time most of people has the same goal and interested in one, english.

but in the process of reaching the goal, they were facing one or some of their interests. means, they are not focus on their goal.

but, no one  knows the fact about the reason of why they are doing that.

    "something doesn't mean something"

i think it is good if you use your ignore button, if you dont want to chat with them.

  • there's lots of flirts and perverts everywhere and we can't stop them doing that. the best thing is just to ignore them. nice blog :D

  • We try to protect members from too much unwanted attention. Everyone had to agree that they know "This is not a Dating Site".  As far as Skype, your ID is something personal. I would suggest that new members put "NO" on their profiles under Skype user. I don't think it is a lie to say that if you are not a "public" Skype user and only use it to speak to family or close friends. Teachers and native English speakers especially need to be careful about giving out Skype IDs publicly, unless they have plenty of time to speak with hundreds of people.

I am sorry that some members have been a little too aggressive in their friendliness. It is a problem for everyone sometimes and if you are an attractive young woman you will get some of the wrong kind of attention from those kind of members who request photos. You are still new and you could always change your photo to a 60-80 year old woman and then you would know that people like you for your personality and intelligence. You may notice that I don't use a young handsome photo for my avatar :)

  • I'm a new member here. And I sometimes watch the public chat room. What I notice that it seems some people will use "cultures and norms" as excuses for their flirting behaviors, you know like when they say, "It's normal in my country," etc.

So, they flirt their friends in public chat rooms and when other people protest, they say, "Well, it's normal in my culture. You should respect my culture.."

Maybe there should be a rule or policy when people restrict "personal topics" in the public chat room where every one can see them. If you want to flirt your own friends, then do that in private chats or other places like Skype (or Facebook chat group) when all other members are OK with that.

  • In my opinion with regard to that matter, there are more people here like to learn English. This is not a common social network. According to my experience, most of friends who like to learn English, wanted to improve their knowledge. But here is a barrier” 4 Most Annoying Things Guys Say” to them even they are in EC. It doesn't matter whether they are guys or girls to learn ENGLISH. The most important thing here is learning and improving ENGLISH.

  • Yeah...Even I hate to be greeted with those endearing words.  May I also add these, Suada?

       *** Hey, cute!

       *** Hello gorgeous!

       *** Do you feel hot?

and others which are too vulgar to even mention here.  Such greetings are a big turn off for me!

A simple "hi" or "hello" will always suffice.  Anything added changes the aura of the chat.  Some members are too showy that their intentions are hardly controlled.

You have come up with this very nice topic.  This is but a simple awakening for the members who are too lax with their words.  Congrats, Suada!

  • Thank you for your valuable ideas. It means lot to me :)

And yes please note that I'm not pointing my finger at anybody for this. :)

  • Oi there again,

Hmmm..Roz, as I said earlier...if some wordings may be considered as abusive, mostly depends on the attitude of the addressee...If you want to consider my or anybody else's words as offensive, that is your personal interpretation....Besides, if you demand others to respect your customs, please be so kind as to respect other's customs as right ones, not only yours.

  • Hi cupcake.. i agree with you in most of opinions. but as you know girls must be safe themself.., and you know.. girls when using some emotions against ppl they will  able to use offensive words agains girls.. .. also you have mentioned that it will happen when u are chat in such site for the first time.. but here in this point i dont agree with you ..anyway thanks for your great blog.... but i have to answer Mr rys that he have sent his idea in here.about who they are from  brazil & poland and  Easter Islands.. you are saying that you are innocent . about such events  please dont convict other area.. see yourself dont be Evil.. and doing best with girls you will be more famous....
