Writing Challenge: I have a dream

When I was a kid, say an elementary-school girl, I had the dream of being a bride. Even I had a real person in my mind to be my spouse-my cousin. Now, my childhood dream has come true, and I am married to that exact person. It is interesting that I never said a thing about marriage to the groom of my dreams. Even, when we were high-school students, we just used to have simple hi and byes and nothing special. Thank God, we love one another and our life is full of pure love. I am really thankful to God to be married to my childhood love.

For sure, the greatest goal of a person results in his/her happiness, otherwise it's worthless. Do you agree? Anyway,I think my greatest goal is being happy and satisfied all the time.

My childhood dream was being a happy bride, and my current goal is being happy all the time. Comparing these two, I see that even the true goal of my childhood was the same as my current one. Happiness is always a built-in need in me and I see it the greatest goal and dream of my life. When I was a kid I used to see happiness in being a bride, and now I can see that there are a lot of things that can bring about happiness in my soul. So my goal has become bigger and more profound.

OK, knowing my greatest goal, I should make a list of all what makes me really truly happy. This is what I am seeking. A daily list that leads me to happiness. Here are some activities that grant the greatest goal of mine-happiness; playing sports like basketball and swimming [of course, just being a professional sportswoman makes me, this idealist girl, satisfied], being a teacher [this one requires some prerequisites like passing some tests and interviews or even higher academic studies], being a kind lovely spouse, making my mom and dad happy, having healthy and wise kids, always having God in my mind and being grateful to Him, being neat and clean all the time, being sociable [this needs a lot of practice ans self-confidence], going on lots of trips [needs free time and money!], having a healthy and nutritious diet, etc!!!

In the end, I have a request. Can you add to my list of happiness? Maybe reviewing your list of activities that makes you happy, I could find more activities that can make me truly happy.

Be happy.

You married your childhood sweetheart! That's wonderful. My parents were like that. They were in the same grade six class. Their moms (my grandmothers) were the milk ladies at their school. I can't imagine being married to someone from my elementary school days. It must be really neat!

I love your list of things that make you happy. I think people should make these lists often. Here are a few things that make me happy:

  • Listening to live music
  • Going on road trips
  • Sitting in morning sunshine
  • Cuddling with my kids
  • Browsing children's bookstores and libraries
  • Journaling in a coffee shop
  • Receiving snail mail
  • Reading responses to my writing challenges

Sorry I missed this blog! Yes, happiness is even more valuable than health. Some people may be so healthy (robust), but not happy. I hope you are happy now and forever!

Hi dear Noorany.

Thanks so much for your nice words on my blog.

Yeah, I love writing, too. So I would add this item to my list. Writing makes me calm and lets me concentrate well and tidy up my mind.

Be happy.

Hi dear Alyeta,

Thanks so much for your nice comment here.

Yeah, being a bird is also a happy fantasy. I used to pick the nickname of sparrow for myself. I love birds, too. Flying is also a nice dream, since I love the sky.

I also love butterflies. How about you? Would you be happy to be a beautiful butterfly?

Be well.
