For those of you that has a Facebook account, I'm sure once in a while you will be caught by surprise when certain 'Memory' being shared by your friends, or even being reminded by Facebook. Yesterday was one of those days for me. While browsing through my Facebook, I was taken aback by a 2011 photo shared by Facebook.

Oh God! It was such a major throw back for me. It made me want to flip through the old photo albums (yes, to the young people, we the older generations have the hard copies of our photos enshrined into photo albums). What stopped me was because they were stored in boxes, and I was too tired after my run to ransack the store.

So, I did what most the young generations did, just browsing through some of photos in my Facebook gallery. It's a double edged sword browsing through those photos.

I almost forgot with what I've been through and how I managed to go through some of them. Well, though I was not so young back then, but that time I was still looking at things with rose-coloured glasses. Am I more sceptical with things nowadays? It's hard for me to answer.

It's funny to be looking at the younger version of yourself and suddenly remember certain things.

Does age and time make me wiser? I guess the answer is still a big NO!. I'm still repeating some of the mistakes, over and over again. I guess I'm still gullible sometimes. It makes me think how far I've come and how much, or not, I've changed since then.

Reminiscing can be be difficult, painful, happy and downright sad sometimes and hence the double edged sword. Sometimes, you can't help from wishing you could turn back the time, and go back to the good old days where life had all these endless possibilities. Where your head and your heart mostly stuck in the clouds with your big dreams. Or maybe when life was a little bit difficult then, you wish that you were living the life of others.

Sometimes I wish EC have the same 'Memory' in it's feed. Where it can reminds us, our long lost EC friends and what they had shared at certain days and dates. It can reminds us that, once, not so long long long ago, we were connected with these friends, albeit a virtual one.
Whatever the circumstances, I guess sometimes it's nice to remember the good, the bad, the beautiful and the ugly sides of life and walk down the memory lane.

LOL Mitran ... you should think it in more positive way. You should say, "OH God! I was so beautiful before, no wonder my husband married me." LOL

Shoba, life lesson is harder than any other subjects taught in schools. Sometimes there's no right or wrong answers, no black or white, just shades of grey.

Setareh, those memories will always etched deep in our mind. Those photos just a tool to make us remember, whether they were good or bad.

Yes Expector Smith, sometimes maybe we should stop for a while and reflects on what we had achieved and lost during our journey.

Mary, though sometimes those things caught me by surprise, but I can't help from feeling grateful that it reminds me of things that used to be. Do those things me depressed? Not depressed, but maybe just a tinge of melancholy. It's no use wishing things could be different and be depressed about it. Just accept it, and move on. and hopefully, learn a thing or two.

Lady Anne, I guess we are being human :) Never satisfied with what we have or achieve. We always wishing for other things, or better things.

Thanks for highlighting those mistakes. I will try to amend them later. :)

Ratu, yes, sometimes I do also think that if I could turn back the time, I will do things differently, but then, maybe I will repeat the same thing, again and again. I would like to think that the things that I did is making me what I'm today. I won't be what I'm today if I'm not making all those silly mistakes.
