Hello everyone,

How is everything going on?

Any regrets, wishes, hopes, etc?

Do you use "if only" very often?

Let's have a review on how to use "if only".

I found the following link useful, simple to get, and brief on "if only" topic:

If Only...

if only.mp3

To express your wishes or regrets, you may need to use "I wish" or "if only".

Please, take a look at the link I offered, and make some sentences to learn the rules thoroughly. OK?

If you know other links which are useful, or other points about the use of "if only" and "wish", please don't hesitate to share with us.

Thanks.

Have a great time

:)

My examples :

If only I could hang out with my friends tonight!

I wish you wouldn't complain too much about your current life.

If only I weren't here at this boring party.

If only I had been more self-confident.

If only I had a bike.

I wish I were more patient.

I wish there wouldn't be any cruelty in the world.

My sweet colorful Sahar,hi.

Thanks a lot for your nice comment. Very good point you have mentioned; we should thank God for all the gifts He has given us. "It is good to have what we want, yet, it is the best to want what we have."

I hope that soon you find your beautiful wishes granted.

Have a beautiful time

:)

Hello dear Zahra!
What a good topic!
I like it so.
Before saying my wishes , I want to thank God because of all great gifts which he has given to me.
These are my wishes:
1-If only I would post the words in EC chat room!
2-I wish I were a millionaire! :)
If not, then:
*I wish I had a good work.
**If only I were able to continue my Education.

Somewhere, I found the following quote:

To create more positive results in your life, replace if only with next time.
