Today, I was watching a very interesting and touching movie on TV. It was "Hachi: A Dog's Tale".

The movie is based on a true story; story of Hachikō. This dog has become famous because of his strange loyalty to his owner, a professor at university. Every day, routinely, the dog and his owner used to go to a train station so that the owner left to go to university. After a couple of hours, the owner used to come back. The dog was always there to welcome him back. But, one day, the professor didn't come back to the train station to take the dog home, since he died. Did the dog go home? Didn't he come back again to wait for his owner? Not at all! Hatchi never stopped waiting for his owner. For nine years, yeah, nine years, he kept going to the station, as he used to, and kept waiting for his owner to come back. He never came back!

The eleven-year-old dog dies and it is just his death that doesn't let him wait in the station anymore.

The body of this loyal dog is kept in a museum and his story of loyalty is kept in the hearts of many people.

very touching story. Usually, I don't like to watch movies which based on Animals(specially dogs) because when I watch these movies, tears falling down with my eyes. I don't wonder about this story because I know dogs are very loyal  more than some people :) (I have three dogs and they're very loyal :D)

Thanks for sharing such a good story Zahra I really like it :)

Hi dear Anele,

Nice story of yours! Yeah, dogs are really loyal; but I do not ever dare to get close to a dog! I am afraid of animals!!!

Anyway, thanks for the beautiful comment here.

Have a great time

:)

PS- Please do not be cruel to your dogs, OK? :D

Just kidding. You are so kind; no doubts.

The years he endured waiting, the unwavering devotion, the eagerness to see his master again is something... no precise word or amount of words could describe...Hachiko’s bust was erected on the same spot where he used to wait for the professor...I assume it's that Shibuya station.

I think Akita is an excellent breed.:)

( I wish to visit Japan someday to see Hachicko's statue...and the cherry trees in bloom too.:)

This is a heart-wrenching, yet marvelous story of loyalty..I had watched it last year and I can’t help but cry from start to finish..:(

The extraordinary bond between Hatchiko and the professor is beyond grasp..unfathomable!

Thank you for posting this one.:)
