Were the honey-sweetened moments of Time.

The tide rose, the tide fell, all over soon

Don Quixote' In England

The announcement that Mr. W. G. Wills had completed his dramatic version of 'Don Quixote' naturally excited much interest, and no doubt set many minds at play upon the general subject of the history of 'Don Quixote' in this country. That the renowned romance has appeared in many prose translations, from that of Shelton in 1620 to that of Mr. Ormsby only two or three years ago, is known to most people. It will be remembered that an early English version was prepared by the nephew of Milton; the… Continue

An African Discovery

Of course it is very curious; but if you'll pardon me, my dear fellow, you might as well tell me you had found a philosopher's stone."

Still, the rough glass phial, with odd metal bands around its neck, had a fascination for me. I picked it up again, and tilted it idly back and forth in my hand, watching the slimy brown fluid, the color of poppy-juice, slip along its sides.

Hilyard smoked on imperturbably. The color mounted under his bronzed skin up to the light rings of his hair; there… Continue

The popularity of online dating websites has encouraged people, single people, to fish for their partner in life. At the comfort of their homes, singles browse for that possible person they can spend the rest of their life with.

Sometimes, I think that these days it is no longer safe to do so. There are people come to these websites with byzantine intentions. Some are serious, though, but we can't be sure. At times I think that searching for that special someone online is…
