Why are Teachers of English using twitter?

Twitter is a great networking site for TEFL. You can use twitter to:
  • look for jobs
  • meet other teachers
  • post links to your blog
  • share links to TEFL articles
  • share links to online lessons
  • write and read teacher tips
  • stay connected to your favourite sites
  • learn other languages
  • get inspiration for you classes
  • keep in touch with your friends at home
Here is an easy guide to using twitter. You can share this with your students.
Twitter is meant to be short and sweet, but sometimes we need a little more space to finish the conversation. You can use this group to:
  • Recommend who we should follow
  • Offer warnings about spammers
  • Expand a discussion
  • Discuss hashtags
  • Introduce yourself to others teachers
  • Ask for help or advice
Please invite your TEFL friends and colleagues to join this group so that we can find each other easily in the growing twitter network.
