[Note: With almost 10,000 comments here we have decided to start a NEW thread for 2012.  Please join us at Be a Newscaster 2012!]

Every Tuesday English Club publishes a weekly news report. There is a self study exercise to go with the story.

You can practise your speaking by recording your voice as you read the transcript. Upload your report in the comments below by using a program like Audioboo, or by recording it on your computer and using the paperclip above to upload the MP3 file. You can share your recording each week.

You can also record yourself answering the discussion question. Have fun!

Hey, great idea!!!!!!!
Sounds like fun! I'll have a try!

Thank you Tara. Great idea! I will try to answer the discussion question every week.

Unfortunately we don't have here the paperclip. It would be even better to upload MP3 file.

Sorry for my sound quality. I don't have my headset plugged in. Plugging in a set of headphones usually helps reduce the background noise. Rafal also suggested playing with the volume of the microphone. I must try that.

Thank you Tara for the pronunciation tips,I always have problems with word stress, especially in a "long" text.

I aways afraid of sounding monotone and boring....it's quite a challenge for me to listen to my own record....

I'll take care not to copy the text in the future,I'll link them here.

Thanks for warning:)

Dear Tara, by saying Discussion Question, do you mean Talking Point Questions which are in the student forum? I think I don't know what discussion question is and where I can find it. Thanks for your help in advance.
I think I found the discussion question. Thank you very much.
Hi Nafis. Sorry, I should have shared a link to the Current News forum. Each week I'll be adding the discussion question to this forum. Some of our members still prefer the forums for discussion. We like to give the members options!
Really nice idea im ready :)
