I agree with you dear Nadira reading is very important to increase our vocabulary and to be familiar with the structure of the different types of sentences. Reading regularly helped me a lot in understanding what the writer's want to say even if I don't know the exact meaning of new words I can figure out the meaning from the context.
I like to read novels :)
Indeed so dear reading takes us to where we could master fluency and literacy
What type of novel s do you like to read ? In my younger days I used to read a lot of romantic and suspense novels . I enjoy reading news , books of history and lit :)
I like romance as well, historical fiction, paranormal and suspense. Chick lit is one of my favorites too.. ^_^
10 years ago I started to read 4-5 books a month. 3 years ago I made an attempt to write 1 story. Words came to me like running water. I finally completed my short story in 3 pages.
But I stopped reading last 2 years when I found a new hobby. Now it's hard to write even a page. I should have really registered in my mind how reading and writing are co-related. I should start reading again.
I start with the Quote "reading perfects man " indeed so .:)
It would be lovely to read your short story through EC or else give us the link to read it
I am sure your ready now and once you get back to your hobby you will attain greater heights as a writer Wishing you all the best and thank you for sharing your thoughts :)
