Do you guys use English in your daily life or not?

Hello everyone :)

As I am curious person, I would like to know, how often do you use English apart from this website or virtual communication with your friends...

Do you study in English? Do you use English at work? What about people (foreigners) you meet when you travel - do you speak English with them? Aren't you afraid of speaking English?

Just share you experiences, please ;)

As for me I use English time to time at work when some foreigners come to our office because believe it or not but in my city are rarely such kind of law offices where people are able to communicte in English (what a shame, ha? :D).. I also use English when I go abroad here in Europe. Sometimes they prefer German but luckily English is still used a lot...

I don't use it at all. :( It's a pity. That's why whenever I have to speak in English, I get speechless and I cannot put together even simple sentence.

2/10 would be my answer, if you ask me in figures. My working temperament is such that inadvertently I have to speak English with my colleagues. Secondly, my conversations with few of my friends (i call them the English category friends :P) are more or less in English not because we can't communicate in local language but intentionally just to be fluent and confident in speaking English. Hardly can I think of a place other than these where I speak English :)

2/10 is a light figure, I'm not gonna get passed on it,am I?

Well, I can say I use my messy english pretty much and that's why I've been able to improve it.

Aside from EC, probably an 80% of the stuff I read in the internet is written in english, and other 80% of the videos I watch are in english language as well. I also watch very often series and movies in english (due to most of them are American productions) and from time to time I read books in english as well (lately I've less time for that tho). In my work, sometimes I also have to write mails in english or to translate some stuff; and about having english conversations (by message or voice) I do that very often during the week too, because I've some old language-partners (from other english language website that doesn't exist anymore) who have become friends over the years. So, yes. I use english language very often every day.

A very interesting poll for the site, thanks for sharing.

What the hell????!!! :D Emaaaa..your English is very good and you don't use it? Plz tell me then...what motivates you to study? :p

Thanks, Luci! Actually I don't remember what made me start learning English, but I clearly remember that I had a good reason. So, I stick to it :D

I always try to watch video on YouTube in English on different topic related to different field. I read articles on Internet in English.
Sometimes I try to answer my siblings and friends in English.. ^.^

Oh....I only use English on EC...and I never use English at my work place! I speak rarely too. But when we travel to abroad, I, of course, speak out in English....lol No, I never feel hesitation to speak in English though I know I make mistakes.

Yeah I do use at my work we have to speak in English my job is to speak with customers in America atleast 7 hours  a day i speak there but after my shift I avoid using English I love to speak in my native language  when  I joined the first time for the first 15 mins  I feel like what the heck is going on here for me it's hard to understand them when I wanted to reply I couldn't speak maybe just bcoz I was afraid how do I sound to them and what if they make fun of my English but belive me they really don't care abt grammar they do make mistakes... Do u guys feel excited to talk with foreigners???

Please don't tell me that "at least sth" is sufficient :D

Yes I use English quite often during the day. First, because I am an English teacher and second I'm living in the place where people aren't able to speak in my native language , so I ought to speak in English at work and daily basis as well to interact around but the thing is the people who I live with aren't the English native speaker either, so Im more likely afraid of speaking a local language rather than English but I always try to have on my mind this saying 'practice makes perfect' and follow this rule 'best way to defeat the fear of anything is to do exactly the thing you are afraid of doing' .

P.S. if you'd like to practise your English on skype just let me know;)
